How do I find a specific book?

Answer

To search for a book:

  1. Go to the Search Collections box on the library homepage.
  2. Search by title, title keywords, author, or ISBN.
  3. Select the matching title result.

If search result is an eBook:

  1. Select Available Online.
  2. Select the link under “Full text availability” to view the eBook.

If search result is a print book:

  1. Select a Location (if there is more than one option).
  2. Select “Sign in” to request the book. You will be notified by email when it is ready for pickup.

No result? Book not available at UAB Libraries?

  • If we do not have a print book, you can request the book via Interlibrary Loan.
  • If we do not have an eBook, you can request a chapter from the book via Interlibrary Loan.
