How can I place a hold on a book?

Answer

To place a book or other circulating item on hold, go to “My Library Account” to log in, then “New Search” to locate the desired item. Open the item’s record and click on "Request."

Note: If you do not see the "Request" option, the item may be non-circulating. Non-circulating items (such as bound journal volumes, reference books, and microfilm) must be used within the library and cannot be placed on hold, unless they are located in remote storage. To request a non-circulating item from remote storage for use within your preferred UAB branch library, go to the Courier Service request form.
