I signed in. Why don't I see the option to request an item?

Did you sign in to your library account? Are you looking in the item record under "Get It"?
If you still don't see the Request button, it may be for one of two reasons:
- The item is something that checks out on a first-come-first served basis (e.g. laptop, textbook on reserve). You can't place a hold on these items.
- The item is designated "Not loanable." You can't request non-loanable items through your library account.
However, there is another way to request non-loanable items (such as journal volumes) that are shelved at remote storage: You can use the Courier Request form.
