What is the difference between filament 3D printing and resin 3D printing?
Answer
Items created with filament printing have a larger layer height than models printed with resin. Complex models or models with very small parts or intricate geometry (> 1 mm) or internal channels with diameters larger than 0.2 mm can be easier to print using a resin printer. Some cured resins also have different physical properties from filaments, making them useful for parts that need to be cleaned in an autoclave.
