Who can use the UAB Libraries Virtual Reality Equipment?

Virtual and augmented reality tools and equipment provided by the UAB Libraries are intended to support student, faculty, and staff innovation, research, and academic activity.
UAB-affiliated individuals with an active BlazerID can borrow Oculus Quest, Meta Quest 2, and original Microsoft HoloLens headsets from the LibLab in Sterne Library or the Lister Hill Library Virtual Reality Studio. These individuals may also use the wired VIVE Pro workstations when visiting the library technology labs.
Visitors to the UAB Libraries and courtesy card holders are welcome to sign in with a facilitator to try the wired VIVE Pro virtual reality workstations in the library's technology spaces, but are not permitted to borrow virtual reality equipment from the library.
