Q. What is a peer-reviewed article, and how can I find one?

A peer-reviewed article is an academic (scholarly) article that was reviewed--prior to publication--by experts in an academic field. Peer-reviewed articles are published in peer-reviewed academic journals.

For help distinguishing between academic and popular journals, see this research guide.

Peer-reviewed articles are easy to find in most of the Libraries' databases. Just check the box that says "Scholarly" or "Peer-reviewed" to limit your search.
