Q. Are the penalties for violating the honor code more severe if I have multiple infractions?

Answer

Yes. According to the UAB Honor Code: "A student who has received the grade of F for two instances of academic misconduct will be expelled from the university. Under certain circumstances, a student may be expelled on the first offense. The student will be duly informed of the pending expulsion and will be provided the opportunity to be heard. The student has two weeks after notification to request in writing a hearing with the Office of the Registrar. Students expelled from UAB for academic misconduct will have that noted on their transcripts.”
